The winter of our first experiments
Just slipping in a small update on "black pulps" from the 20's, 30's and 40's. I found some great color images that I'd like to share. These strips were run by the Smith-Mann newspaper syndicate, in papers like the Pittsburgh Courier and the Chicago Defender. I originally covered this topic back in an article titled The space above the snow from 2009.
Thanks go out to Alan Holz and Alex Jay of the Stripper's Guide.
